Booking And Refund Terms



Introduction

The following terms as used in these Booking Terms and Conditions shall be considered synonymous: safari, tour, itinerary and trip, all of which refer to the travel arrangements being booked with Travel Closer and Safaris. Additionally, the following terms: client, guest, participant, member, passenger and traveler all refer to you, as the traveler.

A. Tour Prices Quote Include:

  1. Accommodations as indicated in each itinerary, based on either twin-bedded rooms or double bed rooms (or tents where applicable).

  2. Meals as indicated in each itinerary, and domestic bottled water with group meals.

  3. Arrival and departure transfers and all other land transport.

  4. For Kilimanjaro and other mountains: Services of professional and licensed English speaking guides (or other specified International languages speaking guides), skilled cook, and enough number of porters for carrying your luggage, food, and water.

  5. For safaris: Services of English speaking driver guide (or other specified International languages speaking guide), and a skilled cook for camping safari.

  6. Entrance fees to National Parks, game reserves and museums, and ALL other applicable fees and taxes.

  7. A Safari vehicle, equipped with luxurious game viewing and touring, with a guarantee window seat!

B. Not included in quoted tour prices:

Costs of passports or visas; excess baggage charges; travel insurance; airfares and airport departure taxes (unless explicitly stated); sightseeing, game drives or meals not listed in the itinerary; personal expenses such as beverages, (other than bottled water as noted in Tour Inclusions), laundry, communication charges, and gratuities.

C. Reservations and Payments:

A minimum non-refundable deposit is Quarter of total cost per person is required at the time you book. The remainder of the price of your trip is due 90 days prior to your departure date.  All payment  should be paid by one of the  forms of payment which will be given by our sales .

D. Cancellations:

Cancellations received by Travel Closer and Safaris are 90 days or more prior to departure are subject to a quarter price  per person cancellation penalty; cancellations received 89-60 days prior to departure are subject to a penalty of 30% of the total retail tour rate; 59-30 days is 50% of the tour rate. Cancellations received 29 days or less are subject to forfeiture of 100% of the entire retail tour rate. Trip cancellation insurance is strongly recommended.

E. Participation:

Persons not fit for long trips due to heart disease, chronic illness, physical handicap, advanced pregnancy or mental illness should not participate in these rigorous travel programs.

F. Alterations to tours:

Travel Closer and Safaris reserves the right to alter or modify the itinerary of any tour, if air schedule or surface transportation changes, security matters and/or events beyond its control make such alterations necessary.

G. Specific Accommodations:

Accommodations and arranged sightseeing are subject to change at any time due to unforeseen circumstances or circumstances beyond Travel Closer and Safaris Safari control. Every effort will be made to operate tours as planned, but alterations may occur after the final itinerary has been issued.

H. Special Requests:

Specific requests such as connecting or adjacent rooms, smoking or non-smoking rooms and special dietary needs should be advised at time of booking. Please be advised that every effort will be made to secure your special request; however, they can not be guaranteed.

I. Baggage:

Baggage and personal effects are at owners risk throughout the tour. Luggage weight restrictions on some Internal flights may apply; details will be provided on your itinerary.

J. Departures date and price:

These tours are scheduled to operate through the year . Prices which will be given   are based on tariffs, exchange rates and airfares in effect on January, 2015; and Travel Closer and Safaris reserves the right to alter prices quoted should inflation, costs of fuel, labor or material, air fares or foreign exchange rates change.

K. Claims and Refunds:

Except for verifiable extenuating circumstances, refunds are not made for any missed tour services. There will not be any refund if you cancel the tour that is in progress. Please see our Limits on Responsibility. For verifiable claims to be considered, they must be received in writing within 45 days of the termination of the tour and be accompanied by supporting statement from the Tour Operating Company verifying the claim.

In addition and without limitation, Tanganyika Experience Safari is not responsible for any injury, loss, death, inconvenience, delay or damage to personal property in connection with the provision of any goods or services whether resulting from but not limited to acts of God or force majeure, disease, illness, acts of war, civil unrest, insurrection or revolt, animals, strikes or other labor activities, criminal or terrorist activities of any kind, overbooking or downgrading of services, overbooking or downgrading of accommodations, food poisoning, mechanical or other failure of aircraft or other means of transportation or for failure of any transportation mechanism to arrive or depart on time.

L. Risks :

There are certain inherent risks in adventure travel of the type involved here. These include, but are not limited to, risks of white water rafting, kayaking and rafting (for example dangers of rapidly moving water, rocks and other submerged objects, hypothermia, etc), horseback riding, (for example, unpredictable behavior by the horses, being spooked, etc) hiking, climbing mountains (for example, rock slides, falling stones, etc), walking safaris, downhill or cross country skiing, (for example, equipment failures, ice or other trail obstructions) and in all trips dangers of animals, inaccessibility to medical attention and difficulty in evacuation from remote locations in the case of a medical emergency. Traveler assumes all such risks with regard to these possibilities.
